I had great fun with the ladies branch of the Royal British Legion when they hosted a fundraising tea and cake morning at St Mary’s Church Hall in Nantwich. I enjoyed listening to their stories of how they or their family members were involved in the 2nd World War.
Laying a wreath for Crewe & Nantwich Conservatives at the Crewe Town Council Remembrance Ceremony is probably the highlight so far of my time in politics. It was a complete honour.
The Secretary of State for Education was in Crewe last week to hear how recent Government funding, awarded to Cheshire East Council in partnership with other providers, will be used to help reduce the number of rough sleepers and prevent vulnerable people from becoming homeless.
After months of waiting and promises to put forward proposals that would be fair and reasonable, I am sorry to say we have got no further forward in getting fairness for Crewe & Nantwich residents and businesses when it comes to car parking charges.
