Today we have been given an update by the Prime Minister on changes to lockdown rules in the coming weeks and months which you can read below. I hope this gives people some optimism on where we are heading and confidence that we can return to more of our normal lives.
A real mix of things to update you on including the latest rule changes on the lockdown, the changes to Furlough, updates on what I have been raising in Parliament and news about the Barony perimeter fence.
This week I have been talking in Parliament about help for people to find new jobs with the difficult news about Bentley in mind. I also spoke in two debates about the NHS speaking up for improved working conditions for NHS staff and thanking Leighton staff for the welcome they gave me.
We have had a huge response to the car parking petition with more than 2600 people signing it and organisations like Nantwich Civic Society and charities in Crewe supporting the call for Cheshire East to change their approach.
Cheshire East Council are planning to reintroduce parking charges on their car parks on the 15th June. Along with Cheshire East Councillors Allen Gage, Janet Clowes and others I am against this.
