I have been out on the door steps as part of the local elections campaign this week, with voting taking place on the 4th May! It gives me a chance to check in on local issues local councillors and candidates are campaigning on.
We received the fantastic news that Crewe will be getting £6.4 Million of Government funding for a new youth facility. One thing that has been highlighted to me numerous times is the need for more things for young people to do in Crewe - so this is very welcome!
It's been announced that Derby has won the competition to host GBR. We can be SO PROUD of our bid and the way the whole community pulled together to produce it. Business, sport, local government, different political parties - everyone played their part.
