Welcome to this week's newsletter.
Food security is an integral aspect of our national security, and in our constituency, we're fortunate to have dedicated farmers who have been feeding our nation for generations. At last week's Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs), I pressed the Prime Minister on the Government's initiatives to support our farming industry.
In other news, the long-awaited rebuild of Leighton Hospital has taken a significant step forward with the acquisition of the adjacent land. This milestone brings us closer to the ambition of a modern healthcare facility by 2030, thanks to the relentless efforts of the Leighton team and our advocacy as MPs.
Congratulations to LS Gymnastics Crewe Academy for their phenomenal success at the recent British Qualifiers. Their remarkable achievement of 77 gold medals across all categories is truly commendable and reflects their dedication and hard work.
It was great to meet with Will and Euan in Parliament this week, two students from Malbank School studying politics and law. Throughout my time as an MP I have prioritised supporting young people to engage with politics. We had a really interesting Q&A after and they had a tour of the Palace of Westminster.
Lastly, Councillor James Pratt's efforts to enhance safety around the junction of Badger Avenue and Frank Webb Avenue have been successful with the approval of a new school crossing patrol. This development will greatly benefit the children and parents of Underwood West Academy, ensuring safer journeys to and from school.
Have a great weekend.

PMQs - Supporting Our Farmers
I was drawn to ask a PMQ last week. Throughout my time as an MP, inevitably a lot of the focus as been on the two big towns I represent. I wanted to use this opportunity to represent those many hardworking farmers in our constituency, some whose families have been feeding our nation for generations.
We now live in a world where our food security is a vital part of our national security. That is why it is important that we do all that we can to support our farmers.
I asked the Prime Minister what the Government is doing to support our farming industry.
Leighton Hospital Rebuild Takes Step Closer
The planned rebuild of Leighton Hospital has taken a step closer with the purchase of the land directly next to the current site. This land will become part of the brand new hospital, planned to be completed by 2030.
It is great to see this project achieve this key milestone. Thank you to the team from Leighton for all of their hard work.
Since becoming an MP, I and others have campaigned hard for this rebuild, which is a part of the Government's Hospital Building Programme and will receive millions of pounds in funding.
Gymnastics Success
A massive congratulations to the team from LS Gymnastics Crewe Academy for their fantastic success at the British Qualifiers earlier this month.
They took 120 gymnasts and won an astounding 77 gold medals - winning in every single category. This has never been done before and is an amazing achievement for the club.
Well done to Candy and the rest of the team for all of your hard work!
Malbank Students Visit Parliament
It was great to meet with Will and Euan in Parliament this week, two students from Malbank School studying politics and law.
They took up my recent offer of tickets for people that wanted to watch PMQs and we have two more Malbank students next week. Sorry for those that missed out, but throughout my time as an MP I have prioritised supporting young people to engage with politics. We had a really interesting Q&A after and they had a tour of the Palace of Westminster.
I hope they both found this day fun and educational! My message to students is always that politics is for anyone and everyone!
