Beechmere-what I have found regarding timber buildings

It is good news that we are in the position to say everyone safely escaped from the Beechmere fire thanks to the efforts of the friends and family of residents, neighbours and the emergency services.

Provisional plan for the Barony published

The Barony Park and Sports Complex are at the heart of Nantwich and are used by all different parts of the community for various sports, dog walking, picnics, events and more. In 2019 alone there have been 9 unauthorised encampments on the grounds with the latest one just today.

Crewe Park Run

Parkrun is an organisation that supports local running clubs. Crewe Parkrun is a 5K Saturday morning run in Queens Park Crewe that hundreds of residents take part in every week. It is all organised by amazing volunteers. I did my first run and only regretted it in the last few minutes!

Crewe Clean Team

Crewe Clean Team are a group of residents that all want to make their town a better place. I think there is always going to be a need to keep on at the Council on things like rubbish & fly tipping. But that doesn't mean you as a resident can't take pride in and want to improve your area.

NHS Volunteer meeting

I have seen first hand how important volunteers are to the NHS  and related charities. 78,000 people volunteer every year for the NHS. I held a meeting for residents interested in volunteering for the NHS and Samaritans.

Charity Bingo

We run a monthly bingo in Hough Village Hall raising money for charities. We raised £127.00 for The Christie! lf you want to nominate a charity to receive the funds from the night let me know! Our next one is Thursday 6th June.

Meeting on schools funding

F40 is a campaign to get fairer funding for schools in Cheshire and the other lowest funded 40 local authorities. This group  has developed proposals to make sure Cheshire East schools get a fairer share.
