Welcome to this week's newsletter.
This weekend marks Small Business Saturday, an opportunity for us to rally around our local small enterprises. As we gear up for this festive occasion, let's shine a spotlight and support our outstanding local businesses that make up our high street.
Fantastic news that we now have an 50,000 additional nurses working in the NHS, fulfilling our manifesto commitment and providing the NHS with an unprecedented workforce. This is the actual number of extra nurses in the workforce, not just the recruitment figures. While this is a crucial step, I know there are ongoing challenges our health service faces and that there is still more we need to do.
This week, the Prime Minister hosted the Global Investment Summit securing over £29 billion in investments for the UK. This substantial will generate 12,000 new, high-skilled jobs and bolsters our economy - sending a strong message to companies worldwide that the UK is a fantastic destination for investment and business ventures.
Finally, the Government has forged a global agreement to combat online fraud, collaborating with 12 of the world's leading tech companies. Online fraud, now the most prevalent crime in the UK, disproportionately affects the vulnerable, so it is great to see some progress on tackling this scourge.
Have a great weekend.

Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday is this weekend - so why not go out into town and show your support to our local small businesses.
In the lead up to it, I have highlighted some of our great local businesses. This week, I want to mention Rodney Densem Wines on Pillory Street in Nantwich - known by customers as Aladdin’s cave for wines and spirits or the adult sweet shop! Amazingly, it is still a family run business after over 50 years!
It just so happens that on Saturday they are hosting an in-store tasting session for some local Nantwich gin - so if you're free, why not go along and take a look.

50,000 More Nurses
It is fantastic news that we have recruited over 50,000 more nurses who now work in our health service - fulfilling our manifesto commitment and providing the NHS with more nurses than ever before. This is the actual number extra, taking into account staff turnover.
I know that there isn't a quick, easy fix for the pressures that our health service faces as demand continues to rise. Earlier this year the Government announced its commitment to the NHS Workforce Plan which will help ensure that the NHS has the staff it needs for the long term. In the meantime, I am continuing to push the Government to ensure that our health service gets what it needs.
£29 Billion of Investment into UK Sectors
This week, the Prime Minister hosted the Global Investment Summit at Hampton Court Palace, alongside hundreds of representatives from the world's biggest companies, where over £29 Billion of investment coming into the UK was secured. This investment will fund projects in many different sectors, such as Tech, Life Sciences, Infrastructure and Renewable Energy and will create 12,000 new, high skilled jobs.
This is a huge vote of confidence in the UK economy and shows companies across the world that we are a great place to invest and do business.
Tackling Online Fraud
This week the Government announced a groundbreaking global agreement to tackle online fraud - teaming up with 12 of the world’s biggest tech companies to put a stop to this crime and shield the most vulnerable in our society.
Online fraud is now the most common crime in the UK and scammers are targeting the most vulnerable among us, but we're determined to change that. For the first time, we're seeing a decrease in fraud cases, but there's more work to be done.
That's why the Government has collaborated with leading tech companies to create and commit to the Online Fraud Charter – the first agreement of its kind worldwide. These platforms are pledging to implement a range of measures to help protect you from fraud and scam content when using their sites.
