Dr Kieran Mullan MP recently held a ‘Constituency Conversation’ event in Northiam, giving local residents the opportunity to hear about his work in Parliament, and ask questions about issues important to them.
Throughout the event, residents discussed a variety of local concerns. These included the new housing developments in Broad Oak and the infrastructure needed to support them, road safety, and the temporary closure of Newenden Bridge.
As a result of these conversations, Kieran will continue to press East Sussex Highways and Kent County Council to improve the management of roadworks. He also plans to meet with South East Water to discuss concerns about the impact of developments on local water supplies.
Speaking after the visit, Kieran said:
‘Thank you to everyone who attended the Meet Your MP event and made it such a success! I want to make sure that every village across Bexhill and Battle feels represented and heard. I value every opinion raised to me, and I use all the feedback I am given to guide my priorities and ensure I am delivering on the issues most important to my constituents’.
Kieran intends to continue hosting these events, so that every resident in Bexhill and Battle has the opportunity to come and chat to him about the local and national issues that are the most important to them.
