Pevensey Bay residents had the chance to speak directly with their MP Dr. Kieran Mullan, at a drop-in constituency surgery at the Ethel Wood Community Centre.
The event provided an opportunity for locals to raise concerns about a range of issues, including coastal defence, road conditions, and housing. With the area’s unique coastal location, discussions focused on protecting the community from erosion and flooding, as well as exploring ways to secure investment for local road improvements and ensure new housing meets community needs.
Residents also took the opportunity to discuss wider national topics, such as immigration, referendums, and capital punishment, offering a forum for opinions on policies affecting the country.
Kieran said, “It was invaluable to hear directly from residents about the challenges and opportunities facing Pevensey Bay. From protecting the coast to improving roads and housing, as well as discussing national issues, engaging with the community helps me understand the concerns that matter most.”
The MP also expressed gratitude to Peter Lowton, Chair of Pevensey Bay Parish Council, and Sarah Mosedale, Clerk to the Parish Council, for their support in organising the event.
