Bexhill Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair on Friday 6 March 10.30am – 3.30pm is lining up to be another bumper event.
The fair, in association with Bexhill College and Talent Accelerator, will see over 50 businesses and organisations from across East Sussex recruiting into job vacancies at all levels, apprenticeships, skills development opportunities, back to work support programmes and vocational and recreational courses.
A free workshops programme will be running throughout the event. Esther Egerton of the Confidence Box will be helping jobseekers build confidence, self-esteem and resilience. Career Coach Anita Whiting will be offering guidance on how to make a CV stand out. Ex BBC South East News presenter John Young will be demonstrating how to engage with a panel to nail the interview. And the Talent Accelerator team will be running a session for young people interested in a freelance creative career. All workshops are bookable in advance and places are limited.
For visitors travelling to the fair, buses to Bexhill include the 99, 98, 98A, 53, 94, 94A, 95, 96 and 97, and Bexhill Train Station is a 10 minute walk from the venue. A Quiet Time will be in operation between 2pm and 3.30pm for visitors with access needs or those who would prefer a quieter environment.
Keiran Mullan MP said: ‘We have some fantastic employers at this year’s fair, with jobs and opportunities in everything from engineering to education, hospitality to healthcare, construction to the creative industries. Plus a really strong workshops programme, CV reviews, and lots of support and guidance for anyone keen to get back into work.’
