Bexhill Retail Crime Meeting

If you run a high street business in Bexhill, please join me for the Bexhill Retail Crime Meeting at De La Warr Pavilion on Thursday 6 November at 6pm.

Our high streets are the hearts of our town, and the success of your businesses are vital for our local economy.  The increase in shoplifting is a blight on Bexhill which is in all other respects a very safe place to live and work.

Shoplifting is not just a crime against a business, it is a crime against the whole community. It is upsetting for all those who witness it but especially those working on the frontline in our shops and high street businesses. We want to tackle this as a community to support our local businesses.

The event will be attended by local councillors, Rother District Council, Bexhill Town Council, Sussex Police and Dr Kieran Mullan MP

The aim of the meeting is to:

  • Share experiences and concerns
  • Learn how to report incidents (including the DISC system)
  • Hear from police on their response process
  • Explore ways to protect your business and staff

Please note this is not a public meeting, it is strictly for high street businesses in Bexhill and you must register to attend at this link on Eventbrite or by emailing [email protected] with your name and name of the business you are representing.
